William McGee, age 97, passed away on October 14, 2022, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on April 7, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward McGee and Dorothy Newsome. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a staff sergeant and served in the Philippines during WWII. After his discharge in 1946, he attended the New York City College of Business School. He was a master craftsman of both fabric and design and was soon sought out to design the homes of the most elite in New York. His career spanned 45 years. After 9/11, he moved to Cincinnati to be near his niece, Tina McGee. After arriving in Cincinnati, he soon became a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, in Anderson Township. He was active in many projects, went on mission trips, and was a member of the Breakfast Club. William is survived by nieces Phyllis (Jesse) Moore and Tina McGee (husband Robert Fruth). Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:00pm at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, in Anderson Township.
