William A. Kopp
1937-2021
William Kopp, 83, a long time resident of Alexandria, KY passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Edgewood, KY surrounded by his children. He was born May 24,1937 at home in Bellevue, KY to the late John and Ida (Billman) Kopp. Bill was the loving husband of Donna (Thiery) Kopp who he lost in April, 2020 after almost 60 years of marriage.
A parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption in Alexandria where he was an active member for many years. Bill enjoyed life to its fullest, but most of the time with his family and friends. He was a hard-working, loving, fun man to be around. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. Bill loved gardening and was proud of all he raised. He enjoyed being outside, wildlife, and traveling. He retired after 45 years with the Zellerbach Paper Company in Cincinnati, OH.
Bill is survived by his Son, Bill (Barb) Kopp, Daughter, Jill (Eric) O’Bryan and Daughter, Missy (Hampton) Young.
He treasured all of his grandchildren: Erica, Billy, Tyler, Katie, Kristina, Jenna, Jessica, Mackenzie; step-grandchildren: Joey, Chris, Robbie and Brittany.
His pride and joy were his 17 great grandchildren.
Along with his wife, he is preceded in death by his four siblings. Bill leaves behind his sister-in-law Billie Jean Kopp and many nieces, nephews and friends.
