William Joseph, also known as “Billy Blank” to many, passed away unexpectedly Sun, Dec 28th, 2014. He was a radio personality, rock promoter, as well as frontman in his band “The Reduced”. He was very well known in the Cincinnati area for his work with The Jockey Club and music scene of Newport, Kentucky, as well as numerous other music venues in the greater Cincinnati area. He was an avid music lover and was loved by many. He is proceeded in death by parents Elmer “Pete” Leist, and Cordelia “Dee” Leist. He is survived by daughter Rachel Leist of San Diego, CA, and longtime cosmic companion Emily Hering. The Southgate House Revival, 111 East Sixth Street, Newport will be holding an auction at 5:00pm to help cover memorial costs on Fri, Jan 23. Graveside services will be held on Sat, Jan 24 at 10:45am at St. Stephens Cemetery. A memorial service and celebration of Bills life will be proceeding at the Southgate Revival House from 3:45pm-8:00 pm with live music to follow.
