Phyllis June Spangler (nee Morgan), 81 of Newport went to be with the Lord on Dec 23, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Phyllis was a member and an avid church attender belonging to her brother Danny Morgan’s church, Cross and Crown Community Church in Newport. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Spangler, her parents The Reverend O.A. Morgan and Myrtle Morgan and brothers Rev. Darrell Morgan, Gerald Morgan and Ronald E. Morgan. She is survived by her loving son Donny (Lovetta) Morgan, sister Rhonda Fields, brothers Danny (Linda) Morgan and Sherrill Morgan, many nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Cross and Crown Community Church. Visitation will be held Wed, Dec 27 from 5-8pm at Cross and Crown Community Church, 510 Park Ave, Newport, KY. Services will be held at the church on Thurs, Dec 28 at 12 noon. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport serving the family.
