Peggy Anne, aged 79, died peacefully on August 25, 2015, at The Baptist Convalescent Center, located in Newport, Kentucky after a long struggle with cancer. Peggy was born October 16, 1935 in Holly, Michigan, the first of three daughters of Luella and Chauncey Senter. Peggy obtained an AA degree at the College of DuPage in Illinois, and completed one year of business school at the University of South Florida. Peggy had special talents in the area of interior design, home restorations and painted furniture. Peggy was a long time resident of Newport, Kentucky and owned The French Gate, a local shop specializing in shabby chic and unique finds. Peggy is survived by her son, William Mikonis, Jr., her daughter, Lisa Boyle, her sister, Bonnie Yoder of Florida, and her grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, and her sister Mary Lou Maus. Peggy will be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery in Holly, Michigan and has requested a private burial. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for and supported her during her last illness. Arrangements were provided by Fares J. Radel Funeral Home on York Street.
