SIMPSON
Oscar LeRoy Simpson passed away on February 7, 2015 at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; two sons, Roger and Michael Simpson and brother, Walter (June) Simpson, Jr. Oscar is survived by his two sons, Dale (Maria) Simpson and Dennis Simpson; brother, Roland (late Marge) Simpson; sister, Betty (late Robert) Lemon; daughter-in-law, Judy Simpson and two grandchildren. He is also survived by long time friends Don and Betty Staley, Marie Dunning and many other friends and relatives.
Oscar served his country in WWII in the Army Air Force, in the 40th Bombardment Group/58th Bomb Wing. He was a Radio operator on a B-29 named Eddie Allen II. He was stationed on Tinian Island and flew eighteen missions over Japan. Oscar was a life member of American Legion Post #318. After his military service, Oscar worked at several places, including Lawsons and Jack Lang Automotive. He then became a school bus driver and mechanic for the Forest Hills School District. After many years, Oscar retired from his long time career at Forest Hills. He enjoyed dealing in trains and antiques and attending auctions.

Due to the weather, a private burial will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
