Melinda Lee Thornberry (nee Wallace), 52 of Sarasota, FL (formerly of Wilder, KY) passed away in Tampa FL on October 15, 2021. She was born on February 27, 1969, in Georgetown, OH. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Harry and Carrie Mabel (Nee Redden) Wagel and paternal grandparents Ernest and Dorothy (nee Canada) Wallace. Survived by her loving husband Mark Thornberry whom she married on May 9, 2003, mother and father Mack and Wilma (nee Wagel) Wallace of Augusta, KY, sister Amy (Jeff) Jones (nee Wallace) of Foster, KY, nieces Kelly (Austin) Miller of Louisville, KY and Kara (Sully) Simpson of Lexington, KY. Melinda was a 1987 valedictorian graduate of Augusta High School, KY and founder and president of Drugs Don’t Work of NKY in Newport, KY.
