Lois Vivian Wood, 72, passed away April 29, 2024 at UC West Chester Hospital with her 3 children by her side.
She was born December 7th, 1951 to the late Lee and Inza Johnson in Richmond, Kentucky.
She attended Kings High School and graduated in 1969. Lois married Gary Wood in March 1973 and had 3 wonderful children with him. She worked in the telecommunications industry for many years before retiring in 2008. Outside of work, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, relaxing with friends, boating, and camping. She was a talented seamstress who worked on interiors for boats, cars and trucks.
She is survived by her children, Christopher (Kelly) Wood of New Richmond, Ohio, Elizabeth (Chad) Summerfield of Independence, Kentucky and Matthew (Randi) Wood of Trenton, Ohio along with her 4 grandchildren, Chandler (Chris) Wood, Brendan (Elizabeth) Summerfield, Lucas (Matthew) Wood and Lincoln (Matthew) Wood.
A Celebration of Life for Lois is being held on June 1, 2024, from 1:00pm-6:00pm at VFW Fred Calaway Post 6770 New Richmond, Ohio 45157. Please come and share stories and memories with family and friends.
