Leslie John Schradin, Jr., age 75, passed away at his home in Anderson, Saturday, August 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.Born in Cincinnati, and known as Bud to his friends and family, he joined the US Navy as an active-duty officer in 1968 and served in the USN Reserve until 1990, rising to the rank of Commander. Among his assignments, he was attached to the USS Vulcan (AR-5) and to the United States Naval Construction Battalions (the Seabees).He graduated with a BA from the University of Cincinnati in 1967. Having many interests, he had many professions throughout his life. From the late 80s until retirement he developed and ran his own IT consulting business, Miami Micro Services.Funny, witty, generous, loquacious, and hard-working, he loved his family, his dogs, old films, science fiction, watching soccer, cars, computers, and new technology.He was greatly loved and will be missed by us all; we wish we had had more time together. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marsha Moi Schradin; son, Leslie John Schradin III (Meredith); granddaughters Nova and Opal Schradin; sister, Lynne Bischel (Jon); and extended family in Cincinnati and across the country. There we be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the ASPCA.
