Karen D. Sexton, age 79 years old, passed away on June 11th, 2023, at Hospice of Cincinnati. She was the wife of Allen Sexton. They shared 50 years of marriage together.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of parents Harold and Leah Kendall. She graduated with a degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. She was employed at Department of Health and Human Services and worked as a Social Worker. In addition to being a social worker, she was a Director of a Daycare for many years.
Karen enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending her grandchildren’s sports activities. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness to others, patience, and overall concern for children. She also enjoyed spending as many hours as possible with all her friends.
Karen is survived by Allen Sexton, children Deana Merchant married to Tom Merchant, Eric Sexton married to Megan Pautke-Sexton, Sara Pearce married to Jason Pearce. Grandchildren: Andrew Merchant, Madelyn Merchant, Miles Sexton, Annie Sexton, Izzy Pearce and Max Pearce. Brother: Roger Kendall.
The visitation will be held at Fares J. Radel Funeral Homes and Crematory 5950 Kellogg Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45230 on June 16th, 2023, from 3pm-5pm, the service will be directly after from 5:00pm-5:45pm.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Anderson Park District, www.andersonparks.com in the name of Karen Sexton.
