DALEY
Joyce B.(nee Burris) after a long illness passed peacefully away on September 2nd 2017. She is survived by her husband of 63 years John, her son Michael (Ruth) and daughter Patricia (John) Erndt, grandchildren Sarah and James and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Hopwood and brother Harold “Duke” Burris. Joyce graduated from Louisville All Girls High School and the University of Louisville, where she received a BA in Education. Joyce taught for many years at Bellevue High School and also taught at Campbell County High School and Ludlow High School. Joyce touched the life of many young people with the activities of FBLA. Additionally Joyce was a founding member of the Highland United Methodist Women’s Group, participating and leading activities for many years at Highland United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Highland United Methodist Church or The Alzheimer’s Association. There will be a memorial service at Highland United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 16th at 11:00 am. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport serving the family.
