Joseph Turner, age 21, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at his college home in Athens, Ohio. He was born on February 27, 2002, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Judy and Garth Turner. Visitation will be held at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Avenue, Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Beechmont Avenue, Friday, February 9, 2024, at 1:30 pm, with a reception following at IHM Heritage Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Xavier Mental Health and Wellness Endowment at www.stxavier.org/memorial.

February 8, 2024 at 9:13 pmI’m heartbroken for your family. It’s the greatest fear that something like this would happen to your babies. My son was friends with Joe at OU. This has hit him hard. He did say, however, that Joe’s positive impact on others will always be remembered. He’s there today to deliver this message in person to you. I wish you peace and hope that thoughts of Joe will bring you more smiles than tears in the years to come.❤️

We are truly without words to express the hurt we feel for you. While we don’t understand God’s ways at these times, we know that He loves Joe and that He has taken him home to be with him. At these times, we can only trust in Him and rest in His peace that He will provide.
Our session and church prayed for you this week, and we will continue to pray for strength and a new tomorrow filled with the Hope that He gives us that one day we will join our loved ones that have gone before us.
We love you and your kids
