Joe, 87, of Cincinnati, passed away April 9, 2017. Joe enjoyed his long and rewarding career as the Chief Road Design Engineer for Hamilton County. He played baseball for the University of Michigan and was a single-digit handicap golfer until recently. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia Crawford Hipfel; sons, Steven (Elizabeth) Hipfel of Annandale, VA and David (Anna) Hipfel of Clarion, PA; brother-in-laws, Aaron Fox of Sterling Heights, MI and Claude Crawford of Bonita Springs, FL and special friend and companion, Buster the dog. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Hipfel and his sister, Helen Fox.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory can be made to The First Tee of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, 4747 Playfield Lane Cincinnati, Ohio 45226.

I remember Ginny went to Ohio State. Joe took me to Ohio State game in Michigan. They were big part of my childhood; always in my memories
