Jo Ann Parker, our beloved Mother and Nana, age 77, went to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 22, 2024, at Hospice of Cincinnati. She was born on May 2, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Hilda {Fritsch} Lamping. Jo Ann attended Regina High School (Norwood, Ohio) and graduated in 1965. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Parker. Jo Ann worked for over 40 years in the Ohio school system and retired from Kings High School. She is survived by her two loving sons; Bradley (Maggie) Parker of Cincinnati, Ohio and Brett (Cindy Kuhar) Parker of Henderson, Nevada; and her four grandchildren: Daniel, Mackenzie, Savannah, and Vivian. Jo Ann came from a large family. She was number 8 out of 9 Lamping children. Her siblings include Larry (Joyce Bender), Jim (Joan), Bob (Margie), Shirley (Milt) Kleinholz, Janet (Robert) Boley, Barbara, David, Ray (Sharon). Jo Ann also had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In accordance with Jo Ann’s wishes, she will be cremated and buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery alongside her husband, Don, and other family. Her burial and celebration of life service will be held on a date and location to be announced soon. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and compassion.
