Gloria Jean Riker, 65 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away April 25, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Gloria was a proud 40 year+ Bearcat employee and alumna of the University of Cincinnati where she was most recently a team member of the Business Core Systems Group. She graduated from University of Cincinntai with her Master’s Degree in Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Music from CCM. Gloria loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed gardening, animals, nature and travel, both domestically and internationally. That special bond with animals was especially strong with her doggie, Mr. Dakota, and now deceased Ginger doggie-dog. When she wasn’t outdoors, she loved doing jewelry metal working, sewing and embroidering. Gloria is survived by her loving partner and companion of 24 years, Tere Cronkhite-Riker, and her and Tere’s special boy, Mr. Dakota doggie. Also surviving are sister and brother-in-law Jeanette and Tom Nappier and their adult children Jennifer and Michael. She is preceded in death by both her mother, June, and father, Gerald Riker. A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held Wednesday, May 9, from 3:30 pm until time of service at 6:45 pm at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45230. Gloria would prefer memorials be made in her name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org. Please wear purple if possible in honor of Gloria’s fight against Pancreatic Cancer.
