Georgia Bennington (nee Evans), 42, passed away on December 3, 2023, at home. She was born on October 24, 1981, in Mariemont, OH to Aleda and Casper (Tim) Evans. Georgia attended CNE High School and graduated in 2000. She attended classes at UC Clermont College. She married John Bennington III on April 5, 2003, in Batavia, OH. She became a mom for the first time September 2, 2007, and for the second time on March 26, 2010. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, movies, Disney, games, volunteering at Batavia Schools and spending time with family. She is survived by her children (Savannah and Nicholas), her husband (John), her parents (Aleda and Tim), her brother and sister-in-law (Trevor and Kristin), her nephew and niece (Fox and Wren) and her dog and cat (Sami and Ash), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Her friendships are many and ran deep, especially with longtime friends Cassandra Noertker, Heather Copenhaver and Sally Meyer, who were more like family every day. A gathering will be held on December 12, 2023, with visitation from 5:00p – 7:00p and services starting at 7:00p at Mt Carmel Christian Church, 4110 Bach Buxton Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Batavia Band Boosters. The Marching Band and the entire music program have been a second family to the children and supported them unconditionally throughout her battle. Donations can be made to the Band Boosters at PO Box 501, Batavia, OH 45103 or to their PayPal account at https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=XTL93HZZCD6PA.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled (thinking in January) where we will celebrate Georgia and the activities and people who brought her life joy.
We would like to take a moment to acknowledge several people and agencies for their compassion and care of Georgia and the family during this battle. This is not an exhaustive list. Thank you:
*Dr Drosick and the amazing staff at OHC (side eyeing you Jayne), who have given us more than two years of extra memories.
*The amazing doctors and staff at Jewish, Clermont and Anderson Hospitals, who took the time to see her as a person who needed help and treated her like family.
*The Radiology Department at Clermont Mercy, who made sure that she always saw smiling faces, had ice to eat and who helped her husband to be by her side.
*The Batavia School District, who have been the epitome of teaching as a calling and not a job, whose students have shown their quality through their actions and who have provided countless memories over the years as she volunteered there.
*PalliaCare and Hospice of Cincinnati, who worked with us to keep her comfortable, pain free and showed up to every appointment remembering that she deserved dignity and love (Special thanks to Maki, Avigail and Melissa).
*Countless individuals and groups that helped through part or all of the journey.
Our families thank you all for your love and support.
