Gary Lee Wood, 74, passed away on May 3, 2024, at his home with his son by his side.
Gary was born March 27, 1950, to the late John and Dorothy Wood in Loveland, Ohio.
He attended Loveland High School and graduated in 1968. Gary married Lois Wood in March 1973 and had 3 wonderful children with her. He worked at General Electric for 23 years before retiring in 2008. Outside of work, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, relaxing with friends, boating and camping. Gary was a regular gearhead who was excited by anything with a motor. He loved working on vehicles and passing his knowledge down to his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his children, Christopher (Kelly) Wood of New Richmond, Ohio, Elizabeth (Chad) Summerfield of Independence, Kentucky and Matthew (Randi) Wood of Trenton, Ohio, along with his 4 grandchildren, Chandler (Chris) Wood, Brendan (Elizabeth) Summerfield, Lucas (Matthew) Wood and Lincoln (Matthew) Wood.
A celebration of life for Gary is being held June 22, 2024, at Dead Low Brewing 5959 Kellogg Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230. Dead Low was a place that Gary loved and visited often. The crew at Dead Low treated him like family and were always thrilled to see him. Please come and share stories and memories with family and friends.
