Ernestine (Ernie) J. Noah, 72, passed away on March 10th, 2025. Ernie was born August 6th, 1952 to a loving mother Mary McCain and father James Judd. Survived by her husband Danny; siblings Phyllis, Herbie, Fred; her 4 children Dale, Lenny, Benny, and Tia; and her 14 beautiful grandchildren. She loved her dogs just as much as she loved her family and volunteered at the Peppermint Pig for over 15 years. She was dedicated to helping the people around her. She had a love of God, believed in the importance of family, and was driven to live a life of high moral standard. We have lost a role model and force for good. Now we are all tasked to continue her legacy by living honestly, embracing family, and treating others as they would want to be treated.

March 19, 2025 at 5:14 pmErnie was a very kind soul. I knew her from the volunteer work she did at the Peppermint Pig. Ernie could be in the middle of anything but would always ask how I was doing, knowing I suffer from chronic illness. She was a frequent foster for the rescue and often kept the dogs she fostered because she had a big heart. She was a lifesaver washing all the linens we had donated to the Peppermint Pig. She made them as if they were brand new. I will miss Ernie. She was always someone who could make you laugh and was selfless in life. I’m so sorry for your loss. She touched many lives.

March 19, 2025 at 5:40 pmSo saddened to hear of the loss of Ernie. I had the pleasure of volunteering with her at the Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift and Animal Rescue during her time there. She took care of laundering all of our donated linens and then labeling them for sale by size (twin, queen, king, etc). It was an enormous job and she took it on happily and it helped these donations generate so much money at the thrift store thru sales that directly help our rescue animals through paying for regular vet care costs, special care needs/surgeries, food/vaccination costs and for caring for our lifetime animals in hospice. In addition, Ernie also cleaned and tested all of our donated vacuums/carpet rug cleaners to make sure they were in saleable condition, which continued to increase our sales/funds to help our rescue animals. She donated countless hours to her work. She had an enormous heart and in a 10 min visit to pick up/drop off linens, she had a way of lifting morale…her hearty laugh, her genuine interest in all of the animals and volunteers- making sure to ask everyone about their families and how they were doing even when she may have just gotten out of the hospital from being sick. She was moved to tears by the things we see in rescue & the 1st to volunteer to foster any little dog in bad shape that needed some TLC (yet it was always difficult for her to let them go because if she had her way she’d have opened her home to every dog in need!). We loved seeing her come in with her brother Bill and appreciate all he did to help her help us. It was such a loss when he passed. May Ernie rest in peace and be reunited with Bill. My sincere condolences to her husband Danny and her children and grandchildren. She led a life of giving that made a real difference in my life and the lives of 2000+ animals..
