In loving memory of Douglas Ernest Carter, affectionately known as Doug, who rode off into the sunset on November 6, 2023, at the age of 58 in North Bend, Ohio.
Born on November 27, 1964, Doug was a true creative soul. His caring nature, quick wit, and knack for making people laugh will forever be remembered. He had a personality that could brighten even the gloomiest of days.
Doug leaves behind siblings Roxie Curtin, Tom Wiggins, Trish Walton, and Mike Carter. He was also survived by his son Nick Carter, daughter Jessica Braunwart, grandson Solomon Braunwart, and his girlfriend Laura Hornsby.
Doug stayed busy revving up his motorcycle, taking on home improvement projects, nurturing his green thumb in the garden, and even dabbling in the world of painting. He truly had a knack for turning life into a work of art!
To honor Doug’s memory and celebrate his life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 3pm until 6pm, at Fares J. Radel Funeral Homes and Crematory. It’s located at 822 York St. Newport, KY 41071, where laughter and fond memories will be shared.

November 14, 2023 at 6:28 amA truly incredible soul. One of my very best friends and the only one I could truly call my brother. The best times of my life were the times we shared on the water in the woods or just chillin in the garage. You taught me so much friend that a part of you lives in me forever. Love ya brother. I will miss you always.

November 14, 2023 at 1:49 pmMy little brother that I loved so much! Growing up as the youngest of five, Doug faced some real challenges. We all loved to tease him, but he handled it well. Despite of all that, he grew up to become a great man with a wonderful sense of humor and a great resiliency. He loved his family and often spoke fondly of Laura, Nick, and Jessie. He will forever be loved and remembered.

November 16, 2023 at 6:39 pmWe surely had our ups and downs over the years but at the end of the day we remained greatest of friends. There are not a lot of divorced couples that can continue to share holidays and special events. We remained Family! I still cannot believe you are really gone from our lives. I miss you dearly!
