Cindy Louise Calvert August 19, 1966 - December 28, 2017

CINDY LOUISE CALVERT
On December 28, 2017 our Cindy went to be with Jesus. She took with her the brightest eyes and smile, most contagious laughter and extraordinary sense of humor and her tremendously unwavering compassion for everyone she knew. Cindy graduated in 1984 from Shelby County High School, where she was a member of the cheer-leading squad. She most recently completed training for working as a CNA. She carried her spirit into her work as a CNA, working with those who were challenged in any way, especially her “old people”, as she endearingly referred to her geriatric clientele. Cindy had a special love for all animals, including her two cats. Hers was a heart of gold and her light was a bright beacon, which enraptured those who were blessed to know her. Cindy had the most precious spirit of anyone we’ve ever known. Included with all that is physically and spiritually gone in her absence, are large pieces of our hearts, which we gave to her long before she left this world. She is preceded in death by her birth mother, Barbara Jones Calvert in 1969. Cindy is survived by her loving mother, Marianne Jordan; her father, Donald W. Calvert; her step-mother, Sally Calvert; her brother, Brian Matthew Calvert and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A service for family and friends and interment will take place in Bellwood Baptist Church- Highway 117 Provencal, Louisiana 71468 on January 20, 2018 at 1:00pm. Pending are plans for a memorial service in Newport, Kentucky, for her dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cindy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or a local pet shelter of your choice. Fares J Radel Funeral Home serving the family.

    Cindy Lou-hoo, we bonded in 9th grade over our crush on Alex Keeting! I knew I liked you because you had excellent taste. Such a wonderful soul. Lucky to have known you.

    My sincere sympathy to all of Cindy’s family and friends. She was a dear and loving soul, a good and loving friend and caregiver to my mother, brother and myself. We had many good times together. Her passing has left a tremendous hole in our hearts and in our lives. Rest in peace, Cindy.

    Oh Cindy, you have left us too young and too soon. I only knew you for a short time but losing you has made my heart heavy with sadness. Your smile was lovely and I will remember your sweet way with our senior citizens. My prayers go out to your family.
