Charles “Charlie” J. Solomon September 20, 1926 - February 19, 2025

Charles “Charlie” J. Solomon, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1926, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles F. Solomon and Theresa E. Mitchell. Charles spent most of his life growing up in Price Hill. He worked at Powell Valves as a machine operator for 45 years, before retiring. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed traveling, going to church, and reading the bible. He was a proud member of the United States Army, serving in WWII. Charles is survived by nieces Cindy Fisher and Sandy Harrison; nephew Ronald Walton; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Walton and his parents. A gathering will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 6pm until 7pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home-Kellogg, with services starting at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to any veteran organization of your choice.

    We knew Charlie for a lot of years through church!!! He was such an amazing man! Well loved by our church family! Our prayers go out to the family!

    Charlie was a special man! It was my honor to be his pastor for last few years. Charlie was the epitome of love and faithfulness, and he meant a great deal to our church family and myself. He will be greatly missed by all who have had the privilege to spend time with him.
    My sincerest condolences to all of brother Charlie’s family and loved ones. On behalf of my family and our Salem Baptist Church family, we are praying for you in this time of sorrow and great loss.
