CASTLE
Bertha Louise (Weezy) Castle, 103, lifelong resident of Newport passed away on Monday, February 6th at Healthsprings in Fort Thomas. Louise was preceded in death by her parents Nelson and Sarah (Daniel) Usleman, her loving husband Farris (Bud) Jacob Castle in 1969, her sister Dorothy (Harry) Switzer, three brothers, Leo (Helen) Usleman, Larry Usleman and Herbert Usleman. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sharyn (Tom) Janosick, three Grandchildren; Jodie Comstock, Bryan Janosick, and Sarah (Ed) Richardson, six Great Grandchildren, Brittany, Spencer, Logan, Ava, Ana, and Adalyn, and many nephews and nieces, along with numerous friends.
Louise’s favorite pastime was working in her yard. She loved planting and caring for her flowers and shrubs. Throughout her life she was a friend to all and always willing to help whenever she was needed. On her 100th Birthday the Mayor of Newport declared that day as “Louise Castle Day in the City of Newport.”
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of St. Elizabeth. Visitation will be held Friday evening, February 10th from 5 – 8pm at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Brief service at 9:30am at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
