Barbara K. Pooley (nee Bauer), 80, passed away peacefully at home on July 13th in Cold Spring, KY. A native of Fort Thomas, KY, she was born on August 26th, 1942 to the late Irwin and Charlotte Bauer (nee Schneider). Barbara attended Highlands High School and married John Pooley of Newport, KY 63 years ago on September 14th, 1959. A homemaker, avid reader and lover of crosswords and trivia, Barbara also loved traveling to visit family in Florida, going to the casino and watching sports. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carrie and Doug Reynolds and granddaughter Kristy Kim. The family is having a small private gathering to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the ASPCA in commemoration of Barbara’s love of animals and her beloved pets Taffy and Smokey.
