Amber “Amboo” Lee McDonald, age 49, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, surrounded by those she loved. Born on May 3, 1974, in Barstow, California, she was a force. Growing up in Cincinnati and Phoenix, Amber was a fierce student and competitor. She studied marketing and was on the water-skiing team at Ohio University, graduating with honors. Amber completed several marathons, including the Cincinnati Flying Pig and New York City. This tenacity would serve her well in her professional life, negotiating countless commercial real estate transactions. Amber was fierce, for sure, but she was also an inspiring friend, playful aunt, dedicated sister and loyal daughter. If you asked Amber for some help, you had better mean it, because there was no putting her back in the bottle. She loved to travel, decorate (and redecorate), constantly working on improving herself and all of those around her. Preceded in death by her father, Michael McDonald; Survived by her mother, Debby McDonald; brothers Jeff and Mike (Andrea); nephews Michael and Sawyer; her faithful dog, Lola; and countless brokenhearted friends around the world. A gathering will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 5pm until 7pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home-Kellogg. Celebration of life services will follow at 7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Brad’s Blessings 5922 Cambridge Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45230 or go to
