Paula Jo Morehart passed away on June 6th, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was sixty-three years old. She was the loving wife of David Morehart for 24 years, loving mother of her two children, Davis & Myra, and a wonderful dog mom to many pets over the years, including Buddy, Watson, Rebel, Squirt, Annie, Chewy, and Rosie.
She worked as a nurse for Children’s Hospital Medical Center for 36 years. For much of that time, she worked on a research study for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. After her retirement from Children’s Hospital, she took on a part-time job as an in-home nurse. She always approached her work with a great deal of empathy and kindness and was skilled at making patients and their families feel comfortable during difficult times.
She was very dedicated to her family and to her children. When her children were young, she volunteered at school fairs, cheered at sport events, baked cakes for scout meetings, and even sewed costumes for school history projects. She always encouraged Davis & Myra to be open-hearted, imaginative, and kind.
Paula was often the first person on the dance floor and the last one to leave. She loved music and attending concerts. She also loved going on camping trips and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. Those who knew her will miss her laugh and her great sense of humor.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia Schreiber, her two children, Myra Morehart (Joe Walsh) and Davis (Sarah) Morehart, and her siblings Fred (Laura) Schreiber, Sally (Wally) Wetterman, Beth (Phil) Dooloukas, and Jack (Pat) Schreiber. She was predeceased by her husband David Morehart and her father Paul Schreiber.
A celebration of life for Paula will be held on Friday, June 16th from 4pm to 8pm at the Highwood Lodge at the Withrow Nature Preserve, 7075 Five Mile Road, Cincinnati, OH 45230. This will be a casual, open-house reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stray Animal Adoption Program, or SAAP.

June 14, 2023 at 10:14 amMyra and Davis,
Myra. You were my first best friend. My first best friend I ever had. I always really liked your Mom, when I bumped into your Mom all these years later one time at Kroger, she immediately remembered me and got very emotional and started to choke up because the minute she saw me she always remembered the good ole days and of course yours and mine friendship. We’ve known each other since 1st grade Myra. Sending so much love, my deepest sympathies and condolences to you and Davis. Now both your Mom and Dad are together again. My prayers also to the both of you. Hopefully they will lift you during this time of deep sadness.
From your original best friend, forever and always
