Darlene M. Hurtt, 57, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 4, 1963 in Ft. Thomas, KY to the late Donald and Mary Lou Brown. Darlene attended Our Lady of Providence Academy and graduated in 1981. She married Herbert Hurtt on October 5, 2002 at St. Bernard Church in Dayton, KY. Darlene was a successful hair stylist/colorist for many years and was the proud owner of Professional Hair Design Salon in Newport, KY. She enjoyed reading, music, and yard sales. She always loved a good find! Darlene especially loved nature and animals and lovingly cared for many pets throughout her life. She had such a kind heart and a great sense of humor that would light up a room. Darlene is survived by her husband Herb and her son Elliot whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by sisters Debbie Groh (Mike), Dianne Kloeker (Paul), Angie McNay (Gary) and Cindi Wyen (Jason). Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Lou Brown and her brothers, Donnie and Joe. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 7 at 11:00 am at St. Bernard Church, 401 Berry Street in Dayton, KY. Condolences may be made at faresjradel.com.
