Lucille Therese Griffith, age 98, of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, took her final breath on earth and her first breath in heaven on Sunday, April 20, 2021. She was born on January 16, 1923 to the late Michael L. and Angeline Cappoli Sundy in Logansport, Indiana. Lucille was married to Lester E. Griffith on August 18, 1944 in Logansport, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1996. Lucille had been employed at Uniroyal Corporation in Mishawaka, Indiana for 30 years. She was a longtime resident of South Bend, Indiana and a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Most recently, as a resident of Carmel Manor, she practiced her Catholicism through St. Therese parish in Southgate, Kentucky. Surviving are her sons Bob (Cindy Falk) Griffith of Southgate, Kentucky and Bill Griffith of Sevierville, Tennessee; sister Adeline Perrone of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina; granddaughter Leslie (Tim) Held; great grandsons Drew Griffith Held and Alex Robert Held of Montgomery, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her brothers and sisters-in-law Tony (Ruth) Sundy, August (Retha) Sundy, and Jim (Ruth) Sundy. Also preceding her in passing were sisters Virginia (Francis L.) Crowe, Mary (Dominic) Bessignano, and brother-in-law Pat Perrone. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230. Lunch will follow in the Radel atrium. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church, Carmel Manor, or to a favorite charity.
