Ilene Werdig April 26, 1949 - February 25, 2021

Ilene Werdig (Collins), age 71, passed away on February 25, 2021 at Mt. Washington Care Center. She was born on April 26, 1949 in Hyden, KY to the late Ruth J. Gibbs (Collins) and Robert C. Collins. She was married to William E. Werdig for 34 years, before his passing. Ilene enjoyed sewing, gardening, singing (Praising God), making flower arrangements, and watching her soap operas. She loved to decorate for every holiday, especially Christmas. Ilene loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and attended the Church of God Assembly, formerly on Eastern Ave. She is survived by her children; Bonnie S. Mills of Cincinnati, OH, Belinda J. Lake (Mills) of Cincinnati, OH, Paul H. (Patrice) Mills of Cincinnati, OH, Beverly A. (James) MacGinnis (Mills) of Cincinnati, OH; siblings Bonnie S. Leggett (Collins) of Manchester, KY, Paul (Pricilla) Collins of Cincinnati, OH, Betty J. Zink (Collins) of Cincinnati, OH, Phyllis A. (Robert) Glenn (Collins) of Milford, OH, and Venedia G. Hill (Collins) of Amelia, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, her younger brother Luther K. Collins, and her parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 11am until 1pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home 5950 Kellogg Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45230. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 1pm, with burial at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
