Margie A. Raines March 7, 1951 - March 21, 2020

Margie A. Raines, 69 of Cold Spring passed away March 21, 2020 at St. Elizabeth, Edgewood. She is preceded in death by her parents James B. Raines, Sr. and Esther R. Raines (nee Robinson), siblings Goldie L. Raines, Esther A. Raines, James S. Raines, Jr, Donald R. Raines, and Mary E. Whalen. Margie is survived by her dear brothers Kenneth R. Raines, Sr and David T. (Judy) Raines, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She worked as Director of Human Resources with Gateway Community College and was a graduate from Campbell County High School class of 1969.  Due to the current situation with Covid-19, there will be a private family graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery on Thursday, March 26 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the National Kidney Foundation, 615 Elsinore Place #400, Cincinnati, OH 45202. To leave online condolences please visit faresjradel.com. Fares J.     I worked for years as a faculty member of N Ky Technical College. As a member of our office staff, Margie always had a smile and was willing to help in any way. She was a great colleague. Please accept my prayers for your loss.

    Margie and her siblings grew up with me and my siblings. She was always a best friend and will never be forgotten. I know all her goodness will follow her into Heaven and God’s arms. Rejoice for she is in the best place ever and will be forever happy.

    I am so sorry to learn about the passing of Margie. I worked with her for several years back in the 80’s. I had spoke with her recently while she was in rehab. She was a wonderful co-worker and friend. Prayers for her family for comfort and peace.

    I am so sad by the death of Margie. We go way back to high school and we worked together at the Northern Ky Vocational School. Margie was always so happy and cheerful and was a heck of a worker. May you find peace in this time of sorrow. Vickie Hill (nee Caldwell)

    Margie was a wonderful person willing to always help others. I had the privilege knowing Marg since 1972. Her smile always brightened the room and made you feel better. Marg was a friend to so many people. Kenny and David my sincere condolences to you. Marg was a special friend to me.

    I am so sorry to hear of Margie’s passing. She was so very sweet and such an important part of our lives for those of us who worked with her for so many years.I know how important her family was to her so my thoughts and prayers go out to the Raines family. She will definitely be missed.

    Margie was a special person and friend to me since 1972. Her beautiful smile and gentle laugh always filled the room. Marge was always willing to help others. My condolences to Kenny and David.

    I shared an office suite with Margie and we worked on several projects together. She was always positive and supportive. Our thoughts and prayers for Margie and her family.

    Remembering Margie as one of my coworkers at the Gateway Covington campus “on the hill”. Margie was always so kind to us and took care of our human resource needs for many years. Our prayers go out to the Raines family.

    Margie’s warm smile, laughter, and humor will be greatly missed. Earl will miss greeting her with “Honey, I’m home”. We have shared many, many enjoyable times with Margie, her brothers, and extended family. Although sorry for her passing, we are glad her suffering and pain is over. Love to the Raines family.
