Ruth, 86 of Boone County passed away Jun 4 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospice. She was a homemaker. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years Darsie McKinley Spicer, son Johnny Spicer, daughter Sarah Spicer, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her dear sons Seldon (Sharon), Ronnie (Gaylynn) and Donald (Patty) Spicer, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Turner, Florence Burton and Elizabeth Mullins and brother Wilson Herald. Visitation will be held Monday, June 8 from 4-8pm at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 9 at 11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
