James O. Sherrick
March 24, 1945 – February 20, 2013
James passed away February 20th at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sherrick and Doris (nee McElree) Sherrick and his brother, David Sherrick. He is survived by his devoted daughters Julie (Marty) Brannum and Lauren (Matthew) Stevens and grandchildren, Olivia, Tyson, and Blake. He was a loving uncle to Jeff (Cindy) Sherrick, Rick (Brooke) Sherrick and JoDe Carter.
Jim played alto saxophone with the Blue Wisp Big Band in Cincinnati, Ohio for over 30 years and worked with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra on many occasions. He was passionate about jazz and big band music and was honored to play with many respected and talented musicians throughout his long career.
He will be remembered fondly in the hearts of all his fellow musicians as well as his family and a large group of friends.
The visitation will be held Saturday March 2, from 4-7PM and services will start at 7PM at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home & Crematory 5950 Kellogg Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45230.
