Daisy Dawn Stoeckel ,born November 20 1913 was taken to her eternal rest May 29th while a resident at Highlandspring Nursing home. She spent her late years living comfortably at the Barrington retirement home in Ft. Thomas. Daisy was a depression era Cinderella, rising from the bleakest of environments to fashion a climate of deep love and commitment for her beloved husband, Albert and her children, and later her grandchildren. Driven by her many heartaches and lack of family stability as a young girl, Daisy was determined to make a better life for her family; a goal she pursued constantly with intense energy. She always exuded a youthful energy and beauty that belied her age. Widowed in 1978, Daisy spent her adult life in northern Kentucky, living in Newport, Ft. Thomas, and Southgate. She was a long time member of St. Thomas parish. She is survived by her three children, Wayne Stoeckel of Arizona, Dawn Hempfling of Paris, Ky. and Warren Stoeckel of Ft. Thomas; ten grand children , twenty-one great-grand children and one great-great-grandchild. Daisy has been comforted throughout her later years by several family members living in The Ft. Thomas area. Her life will be celebrated by a Mass at St. Thomas church in Ft. Thomas at 10:00A.M. on Thursday June 2nd followed by a grave side ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate.
