Richard L. Rawe, 83, died Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas.
He was a journalist and worked for the Cincinnati Post for over 40 years. At various times, he was City Editor, Business Editor and an Investigative reporter. He also wrote for Time and Life magazines and authored a book entitled: Creating A World Class Airport. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He was active as a board member of the Northern Kentucky YMCA and as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a WWII vet and participated in the occupation of Japan. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children; Richard Jr., Daniel, James, Gary, Chris, Eric, Jeff, Judy Bautista and Michele Gaffney. He also had two deceased children, Ellen Strole and John Rawe. In addition he had 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home in Cold Spring,KY from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday May 18th, with services at St. Joseph Church the following morning at 10:00am
