Joseph Awad, 83, of Cincinnati, passed away July 1, 2017. Joe was born April 5, 1934 in Jerusalem, Palestine. He was the 8th of 9 children born to loving parents, Awad and Mary Baddour. Joe moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1956 and served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. He enjoyed soccer, gymnastics and instructing ballroom dance. Then, he met the love of his life Mimi (Georgette). They married in 1967 and proudly celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 10, 2017. Joe spent most of his career with the Cincinnati International Airport. Joe is survived by his wife, Mimi Baddour nee Halaby; his children, Mary Seipelt, Edward Baddour and Rula Driggers; grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Isabella, and Joey; sisters, Elaine and Leila Baddour and many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Fares J Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45230. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, July 6 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 2530 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, OH, 45206. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
