A rough and tumble, yet gentle man, Gerald Dean Adkins, age 57, born August 7, 1959 walked through Heaven’s gate peacefully on April 30, 2017. There he was met by Him and His lovely Sacred Heart into eternal love and peace.
Survived by mother Judith R. and father Julius T. Stayden, and Harold Dean Adkins, sisters Martha Poff, Helen Ann, Julie Ann, Nicole Rae, and brother Anthony T. Stayden, beloved father of Jerry Jr. and Kristine Botto, and Clara Adkins. He leaves behind 5 beautiful grandchildren.
May our son, brother, father, grandfather, cousin, friend, and comrade peacefully look over us.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 10:00am to 12:30 pm. Celebration of Life and Memory Sharing at 12:30 pm. Burial to follow at Batavia Union Cemetery.

I had a wonderfully awesome time with you and your friends going to Okaly Park and pool, hanging in the woods listing to Lynyrd Skynyrd “Free Bird”, going to drive-in movies (stole your Little Kings when you were looking ?) and playing poker with you. Joy riding and raising hell together. You were a fun brother, lived life on the edge of conformity, living free! I admired you for that and will always cherish our time spent together. You were one strong dude, inside out! I will keep an eye open and feel for that cool breeze in the air and know you are kissing my cheek and saying hello. Rest well until we meet again.
