Dr. Dennis John Suggs was born April 9, 1968 in New York, New York. He was raised by his loving parents, John Suggs and Lucille Brooks Suggs. He spent most of his childhood in Fair Haven, New Jersey and after graduating high school in 1986, proudly served as a United States Marine. He later earned his doctorate from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles.
Dennis had a passion for travel and meeting new people, spreading his broad smile and infectious laugh wherever he went. In 2004, he settled in the Cincinnati area where he spent the remainder of his days practicing medicine and working in sales.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father and mother and by his younger brother, Tyrone. He is survived by his companion, Katie Kemme, as well as many loved ones including Andie Barker, Renee Gooding, Janet Bailey, Curtis Lee, and Yonna Lee.
“Doc,” as many came to call him, will always be remembered as a positive, fun-loving spirit with boundless energy and a propensity for referring to those around him as “cheeky tarts” and similar terms of endearment. He had a gift for healing and touched the lives of countless people. His gratitude and passion for life will be remembered always.
A celebration of Dennis’ life will take place with friends and family on Saturday, May 20th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. at his home in Newport, Kentucky. Burial services will be held on Friday, May 26th at 11 am. at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hazlet, NJ.
